Boston, Massachusetts — Anna Lucey has spent the last fifteen years making and shaping public policy on Beacon Hill as a top House lawyer and a leading government relations professional representing some of Massachusetts biggest industries and employers. Now, she’s starting her own consultancy and putting her skills to work for the issues that matter most to her.
“Massachusetts is on the way back after a challenging couple of years that upended our lives and our economy,” said Anna P. Lucey, founder of A. Lucey Strategies. “Now is the time for bold moves and vigorous engagement in shaping the public policy that will build the foundation of our economy for decades to come. That’s why I’ve decided to start my own firm; to help organizations position themselves to thrive during this moment of opportunity.”
Lucey has spent the last 15 years working as a top lawyer at the House Ways and Means Committee and in the private sector representing large employers and industries that drive Massachusetts’ economy. She’s helped shape six state budgets and 20 supplemental budgets, helping deliver billions of dollars aimed at creating jobs, driving innovation, protecting the people, and securing investments that create opportunity for all. In the private sector she’s worked to accelerate the growth of clean energy and telecommunications; elevate startups driving the innovation economy; improve health care by working with major health services providers; and, she’s helped many industries navigate the Beacon Hill budget process.
“As someone who works in a regulated industry, I value Anna’s tireless work ethic, personalized approach, and extensive network as she advocates on our issues. Her experience in both the public and private sectors make her a unique and trusted voice in government relations,” Timothy Wilkerson, President and CEO of the New England Cable and Telecommunications Association.
